WHAT TO BRING ON YOUR TOUR
Here, you will find a list of suggested items to bring on your Maui Kayak Tour to make your charter with Boomkanani your best Maui activity, yet! Be mindful of the differences between the fishing tour, snorkel tour and whale watch tour for items to bring. Questions on items needed? Feel free to contact us via email at info@bkmaui.com
REEF SAFE SUNSCREEN
Did you know that two ingredients found in many popular sunscreen products — oxybenzone and octinoxate — are known to harm and kill corals?

When you apply sunscreen with these chemicals and then swim or snorkel, sunscreen washes off your body and contaminates the reef ecosystem.

Strickly no spray sunscreen or sunscreens that harm or kill coral reefs.
EYE PROTECTION
The sun can get rather bright out on the water! Be sure to pack a hat or some shades to stay comfortable throughout your tour. A must for protection from sun and glare off of the water. Safety cords on your glasses are highly recommended.
BINOCULARS
So you can spot wildlife from afar! During whale season these guys help, although the whales often approach us closely.
SUN PROTECTION
The Hawaiian sun is known to be strong all year around. We suggest a reef safe non-spray sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a rash guard and an extra towel on your tour to provide ample options for sun protection.
SWIM SUIT
Be sure to wear clothes that can get wet! We recommend a long sleeve top to protect your skin from the sun. Rash guards available for purchase.
CAMERA
With our easy peddle kayaks, your hands are free to capture all the beauty that surrounds you. Don't forget to grab your camera, we recommend you pack it in a waterproof bag or case, or you may use our dry bags.
BEVERAGES & EXTRA SNACK
We supply a light snack and 1 small water bottle for your tour. You are welcome & encouraged to bring along extra snacks (recommended on longer tours), and extra regular or alcoholic beverages. Please note however that we do expect our guests to consume alcoholic beverages responsibly and maintain the right to refuse service to those who are overindulging and those consuming alcohol may not operate vehicles after your tour is completed.
